Coach Allen was one of the top wrestlers in Central Virginia during his career at Hopewell High School (VA).  While competing for the Blue Devils he was a two time Central District Champion and a Central Region Runner-Up.  After high school he wrestled at The Apprentice School at Newport News Shipbuilding where as a Freshmen he finished second in the Div II and Div III VA State Intercollegiate Tournament.  Upon entering his Sophomore year he decided to concentrate his efforts toward the classroom and the football team where he became a three year starter for the Builders.

Dale Wrestling Club (DWC), located in Chesterfield County (VA), was the site for Coach Allen's first stint as a youth wrestling coach.  After relocating to Hanover County he helped establish the Mat Dawgs wrestling program where he was active for two seasons.  In addition, he served as an assistant coach at Varina High School for one season.  During his young career Coach Allen has guided his troops to numerous individual youth state championships and a handful of National level tournament championships.  In addition he has coached All-Star teams competing at the youth, state and national level.  Those teams include Team Virginia, Virginia Thunder, Virginia Mason-Dixon Team and VAC Elite Elementary National Team.

Coach Paul Turley

Coach Turley fell in love with the sport of wrestling in 1984 when he was in the 8th grade.  Paul wrestled at Thomas Dale High School and was totally sold on being a BAGUBA (Brutally Aggressive Grappler Uninhibited By Adversity) the first day he stepped on the mat.  While competing for the Knights, Paul was a two-time Regional Champion and placed 4th in State.  After high school, Paul wrestled for Virginia State University.

Paul became involved in youth wrestling over 10 years ago with Dale Wrestling Club (DWC) and has been head coach of the club for the past 7 years.  Paul has coached several individual elementary school and middle school state champions and two middle school state champion teams.

Paul's motivation with you wrestling is to simply give back to a sport that he is passionate about.  Paul credits his high school coach, Bob Horning and mentors, like Kevin Grow, for instilling in him the passion for the sport of wrestling.

Paul's number one priority in life is his family.  Paul is married to Jeri and they have three boys, Alex, Jackson and Walker.  Alex, a former DWC wrestler, wrestles for the JV for Thomas Dale High School and Jackson wrestles with DWC, Garage Crew and Team Predator.  Paul and his family live in Chesterfield, Virginia.
